Rach was introduced to yoga in 2011 when she was looking for an alternative relief for her Flat Back Syndrome and lumbar spine compression. After attaining physical relief, she realized that yoga was doing more than help her with her posture: she's learned to silence the chatter in her mind, accept and love herself more, and embrace stillness as a way to become her better self. She started studying Eastern philosophies, particularly Buddhism, Zen, and Taoism, and continues to deepen her relationship with herself and the Divine. She retired from 13 years in the corporate world and put up Treehouse Yoga to pursue her life purpose of changing the world, one yoga and meditation class at a time.

Treehouse's resident triathlete, Alvin's journey started primarily to enhance his physical abilities, learn how to optimize his performance as an athlete, and to better understand how the human body works. After a year of teaching, he began to delve into the more spiritual aspect of yoga, incorporating meditation and energy work in his practice, and started noticing how much more meaningful yoga can be for just about anyone.

After moving from one country to another half her life, Teng decided to settle down in Manila

and got into yoga in search of who she is. She found herself in a roomful of yoga teachers in training, not quite sure what she was doing there. Little did she know that apart from getting to know her true self, she was also going to help others do the same. She believes yoga has helped her smooth transition into another phase in her life, and has developed the best version of herself physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Finding her assertive voice, her practice focuses on finding, building, and maintaining strength in all aspects of her students' lives.

A ballerina and an award-winning DanceSport athlete, Jan’s approach to yoga is all about

improving the way one moves his/her body, specifically by focusing on how to activate and draw strength from the core muscles to support safe and effective movement in the body. Jan’s classes are a powerful fusion of the Pilates methodology of core stability and the yoga asanas. His goal for every class is to be able to get his students to activate and stabilize the deep core muscles while improving posture, flexibility, balance and overall body strength. He believes that by creating positive changes in the body, one also indirectly creates positive changes in his/her attitude and state of mind. He’s currently undergoing Pilates Teacher Training with Polestar Pilates Asia.

Joy started practicing yoga in 2007 when she organized classes for the employees of the company she was then working for. Attending classes of various traditions and in different studios in the years that followed, she found yoga to be physically challenging and therapeutic. In 2016, she said goodbye to 14 years of corporate life and enlisted into Yoga Teacher Training. Today, Joy works on looking at life in a three-dimensional perspective, achieving emptiness and fulfillment through the coordination of one's body, mind, and authenticity -- a belief that she feels is worth sharing with her students via asanas, meditation, and breath work.

A lifelong martial artist focusing on Filipino Martial Arts and an instructor of Carlos

Hermanos specializing in knife fighting and combatives, JC was introduced to yoga philosophy and principles by his mother when he was around 10 years old. He has since studied and practiced various forms of meditation, spiritual, and healing modalities. His first encounter with asana practice was through Ashtanga Yoga, which inspired him as much as it humbled him, and empowered him to practice other styles. JC also lead Kirtans with an equal passion, his love for music entwined with the Divine.  He sincerely believes that if everyone did yoga , the world would be an even better place. He believes in balance and it is his passion and advocacy to share this with everyone.


                    Vinyasa Flow, Slow Vinyasa Flow

Never without a light heart and a friendly smile, Kat had always dreamt of becoming a yoga teacher since 2013, after discovering her love for it in just one class. A single mom to three adorable boys, she believes that your circumstance and your body do not dictate your limits. She aims to help students build and balance strength and flexibility, confident that she can bring them to believe and marvel in what their body and mind can do. Armed with warmth, funny stories, and inspiring daily anecdotes, Kat's energy and outlook in life is contagious, and she hopes to share this with every class she teaches.
