Frequently Asked Questions
New to the Treehouse Community? Here are answers to some frequently asked questions.
I have zero yoga experience and I am not flexible at all. Which classes should I join?
Most of our classes are beginner-friendly and flexibility is not a requirement! You may check out the schedules by clicking SCHEDULES on the header anywhere on this website. First class is free and mats are available at the studio, so all you have to do is bring a little courage with you to class.
Do I need to make a reservation?
There is no need to call or send an SMS when attending regular classes, but we do recommend registering online and arriving at least 15 minutes before the class starts. If it is your first time, this will allow you enough minutes to find our studio, park your car, meet the teacher, fill out the registration form, and to get acquainted with the studio facilities and equipment.
What should I wear? What should I bring?
Wear light, stretchy (but not loose) clothes in which you can move easily—but cover appropriately when moving through postures. For women, you may wear leggings or tight-fitting shorts and a t-shirt/tank top with light cloth, while the men can wear basketball shorts and a t-shirt or tank top. If you already have a yoga mat, feel free to bring it with you to class; otherwise, you may borrow one of our mats for a donation of Php 20 per use. (This money goes to charity.) Bring a small towel for your sweat, a water bottle, and a change of clothes. We have shower and changing rooms for both men and women, in case you'd like to freshen up after class.
For Yin/Meditation classes, we turn on the airconditioner and we don't sweat much as this is mostly stretching and staying low on your mat. You may bring blankets and pillows and you may come in warmer clothes.
How do I prepare for a class?
Our classes are 75 to 90 minutes long, save for Pilates which is only 60 minutes. Here are some pointers to prepare for class:
Do you have parking space?
Our building has 5 parking spaces on a first-come-first-serve basis. Parking can be tricky on some days and it is never guaranteed, so if you are from the area, we suggest taking a bike or other means of transportation so we can free up the parking slots for those who are not from BF Homes. In case you are bringing a car with you, please be mindful with your parking so others may use the slots beside you.
What are the studio policies and studio etiquette?
We aim to provide a safe space for everyone in the community, and we would appreciate if you abide by the following policies and studio etiquette:
Can I put my package on hold or extend my package in case I get sick?
We can make these changes to your account for a maximum of 2 weeks for free in case you get sick. However, anything longer than 2 weeks will entail a minimal administration fee of Php 500. We do not extend or hold a package that has been dormant for more than 3 months.
I have some physical limitations, an ailment, or an injury. Can I still attend classes?
While we believe that yoga is for everyone regardless of the circumstance, we recommend consulting your doctor first on the severity of your condition. In special cases, we do have Yoga Therapists in our roster of teachers and we can schedule a free assessment for you. Kindly get in touch with us with all the details pertaining to your case.
