200H Treehouse Yoga Teacher Training

January 17 to April 12, 2026 (Weekends Only)

Chantal Umali, Rachel Bonifacio, Kim Espiritu,

Ria Tirazona, Jinky Ureta

The Treehouse Yoga 200-Hour Teacher Training is a soulful, community-rooted journey into the heart of yoga. Approved by Yoga Alliance under the Elevated Standards, this program blends classical philosophy with modern embodiment practices to support personal transformation and prepare you to teach with depth, confidence, and authenticity.

Our training goes beyond just postures. We explore yoga as a way of life—anchored in meditation, ethics, functional anatomy, and self-inquiry. Through a modular weekend format, trainees will learn how to sequence meaningful classes, cue with clarity, and hold space for healing and growth. We honor the roots of yoga while creating space for each trainee’s voice to emerge.

What makes this training truly Treehouse is our focus on real connection. This program is designed for those who want to grow not only as teachers, but as humans in service to something greater. We believe yoga teachers are community builders, ripple-makers, and space holders—and we are here to nurture that path.

Whether your goal is to teach or to deepen your personal practice, this training offers a grounded, heart-centered foundation in a supportive, non-performative environment where you can truly belong.

Holy Week Mindfulness Day Retreat

Practicing Presence in the Plum Village Tradition

April 3, 2026, 9AM to 5PM, Treehouse Yoga Studio

Rachel Bonifacio

All levels welcome, no meditation or art experience required

Join us for a full-day mindfulness retreat during Holy Week—a time traditionally marked by pause, reflection, and quiet return.

This retreat is inspired by and follows the Plum Village tradition of mindfulness, as taught by Thich Nhat Hanh, emphasizing simplicity, embodied awareness, and the practice of presence in everyday life. Through sitting and walking meditation, journaling, sound, creative expression, and community sharing, we step away from constant doing and into intentional being.

In the Plum Village tradition, insight is not forced but instead revealed through mindful presence. By staying with what is—gently and without judgment—understanding unfolds in its own time. Silence and sharing coexist throughout the day, creating a community-based meditation experience rooted in deep listening and connection.

Agenda:

Throughout the day, participants will be guided through a sequence of contemplative practices that support grounding, nervous system regulation, and self-inquiry. Journaling follows each major activity to help integrate experience before any verbal sharing.

An art session after lunch serves as a non-verbal, process-based practice—no art experience required. A sound bath later in the afternoon offers deep rest and sensory integration, supporting both body and mind.

Sharing circles are offered as invitations, not obligations. Listening is treated as a practice in itself.

This retreat is open to all levels. No prior meditation or art experience is required. Silence will be gently encouraged at certain points, and all sharing is optional.

This retreat is offered at a special community rate in support of shared practice and accessibility, inclusive of materials and light snacks:

  • Current Treehouse Yoga package holders: Php 800 (full day)

  • Non-package holders: Php 1,300 (full day)

T. Rachel Bonifacio is the founder of Treehouse Yoga and a mindfulness and meditation teacher. Her teaching  and personal practice are inspired by the Plum Village tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh, emphasizing embodied awareness, deep listening, and community-based practice.

Registration starts on March 20, 2026. Limited slots only.

Join us for two (2) Saturdays this October for an asana workshop that explores our bodies in preparation for flight!

This workshop aims to take a different approach to learning about arm balances and inversions. Instead of working on just the general instructions and how-to’s of arm balances and inversions that all focus on the core, we are invited to bring our attention and awareness to the other parts of our unique bodies whose subtle nuances also greatly affect our balance. Noticing our predispositions, natural tendencies, and habits in movement and stillness, and focusing on the little details of our work may give us the information we need to adapt the execution of the postures specific to ourselves.

Agenda:

Day 1, Oct 5, 10am to 12pm: Firm Foundations and Practice, Arm Balances part 1

Day 2, Oct 12, 10am to 12pm: Firm Foundations and Practice, Inversions and Arm Balances part 2

Both workshop days will be facilitated by our very own T. Chantal Umali, one of the pioneer yoga teachers in the Philippines.
