Creative Lab: Hangout Day

Class Description

October theme: Spooktober! Part hangout, part takutan! We’re adding a little spookiness to our usual afternoon of making things together. Bring a spooky story you’d like to tell—it can be something that happened to you, a story passed down in your family, a local legend, something mysterious you heard from a friend, or even a completely fictional tale. Then, create an artwork inspired by your story. Think of it as a book cover: you don’t have to illustrate the entire tale, just make something that hints at what’s coming. Telling a ghost story? Draw the ghost, the haunted house, the empty hallway—or perhaps just the object that mysteriously moved on its own. 👀 Use any non-digital medium you enjoy: watercolor, ink, pencils, markers, collage, mixed media, or your trusty sketchbook. Toward the end of the afternoon, we’ll gather in small groups of up to four people to show our artwork and share the stories behind our artwork. No art skills or professional storytelling required. Just come ready to make something, tell a good story, and perhaps leave with a few stories you’ll think about on the way home. Advance registration required. Limited slots. 🗓 October 31, Saturday 🕐 1:00–4:00 PM 📍 Curious Coffee, BF Homes 🎨 Bring your favorite art materials 🎟 ₱400 per person This already includes a ₱250 Curious Coffee café consumable voucher + ₱150 Creative Lab Hangout participation fee (pre-paid, non-refundable, transferable), some art material use and consumption, and facilitator fee
